Thinking about purpose as usual and a particular verse popped up...
But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
When God reveals our purpose to us, He doesn't expect all of us to move at the same time or the same pace. Your purpose is yours uniquely regardless of if it looks similar to someone else's. No one can do it the way YOU do it. For some He may reveal the purpose, resources, people, methods etc all at the same time. For most of us He reveals it a piece at a time.
Because of that we must be vigilant in knowing our pace. We can't make the mistake of moving at a pace that is not appropriate for our purpose.
Think about it. If I am the last leg of a 400 relay and my purpose is to bring home a win for my team, why would I walk? Or if my purpose is to help an 85 year old woman across the street, why would I run?
There is time to wait and listen for proper instruction...a time to mount up and go after it with all you have...a time to run swiftly and with determination... and a time to walk consistently. Know YOUR pace.
